Origami
Passing the time while waiting for a train or finishing off a lunchbreak can be done in many ways. One habit I've got into is to fold pieces of paper into animal shapes. This started when I bought my Dad a copy of the Blade Runner: Final Cut DVD box set and thought that it lacked a silver origami unicorn (if this doesn't make sense I'd suggest renting the film and watching it - it's really rather good). A quick internet search and a lot of cursing under my breath later I'd made a unicorn to slip into the box set.
Since then I've made a number of other animals, mainly using patterns from the book Origami Zoo by Robert J Lang and Stephen Weiss. I've put some photos of these below. The only original touches of mine are failing to follow the instructions correctly or not having the correct paper to hand.
